The short visit in Leipzig on the book fair was a great success!
Katrin (my illustration interested partner in crime) and I attended
various lectures about illustration and illustration business, thanks to the
IO - Illustration organization .
They had a booth on the fair and were extremely helpful. Jens R. Nielsen had a look
at portfolios and I know much more of it than before and will at the instance start to prepare
mine! I got an enormous amount of ideas.
Other than that we went a lot around, found great books, great artists, especially the Finish
ones who were drawing with camera and giving away the pics as gifts (to my friend!)
Impressive were the cosplayers that were all around and looked great and hilarious!
And we went to some of our favorite publishers to ask how we could get our portfolios to them.
This took us some braveness!
The next visit will be the Frankfurt bookfair and we have a lot of work to do till then!
